[ioquake3] ioquake3 mouse access

Recently I dug into the Xorg mouse documentation and in order to gain a maximum in precision for my Lachesis I deactivated all mouse acceleration in Xorg.

Now I'm wondering weather this has any influence on ioq3 at all. Does the game access the processed mouse data or the raw device data as X receives it?

Is there any documentation on the data path between the mouse hardware all the way to the application?
